Andrew is an associate attorney and oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm's Charlotte County criminal defense office. He is licensed to practice law in both Florida and Michigan and brings a wide array of experiences to Aiken, O'Halloran & Associates. Andrew holds a B.A. in Political Science from Michigan State University with study in Comparative Democracy at the University of London, England and University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Andrew has worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., first for a United States Senator and later for a public policy think-tank. While in law school, Andrew was an oralist for his law school's Willem C. Vis International Arbitration moot court team and in 2006 attended the world championships in Vienna, Austria where he competed against teams from Germany, Yugoslavia, and Thailand. While not attending classes or practicing mock arbitration Andrew ran a major civil rights organization's legislative office before moving into private practice after graduation. After being conferred the degree of Juris Doctor and admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2006, Andrew worked with the preeminent law firm Sinas, Dramis, Brake, Boughton & McIntyre, P.C., specializing in catastrophic motor vehicle negligence cases. Andrew has additional experience as a solo practitioner representing clients in child custody disputes, but since 2007 has exclusively represented criminal defendants in Southwest Florida at Aiken, O'Halloran & Associates. Clients are quick to note Andrew's listening skills, compassion, and intelligence, but what brings Andrew referrals is his obvious energy, enthusiasm, and result-oriented approach to his work. Andrew is trusted by both clients and prosecutors and, through careful listening, determines in each case whether an aggressive approach leading to trial is appropriate or whether a client's goals can best be accomplished in another fashion altogether. Andrew's greatest career successes have been in getting all evidence in several cases suppressed on constitutional grounds before the cases have even proceeded to trial. He represents all criminal defendants in cases ranging from DUI to murder and can be reached at (941) 639-6009.
